Meet James Tong, DDS, PHD

With over 30 years of experience in advanced clinical dentistry, Dr. James Tong is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Known for his gentle approach and attention to detail, he combines decades of clinical experience with the latest advancements in dentistry to help patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.

Dr.Tong earned his dental and orthodontic doctoral degrees in China before continuing his education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he completed specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, helping educate and mentor future dentists.

Over the years, Dr. Tong has built a practice founded on trust, integrity, and personalized care. Today, he is proud to practice alongside his son, Dr. Andrew Tong, offering patients comprehensive dental and specialty care under one roof while continuing the family tradition of exceptional dentistry.

Dr. Tong has been happily married to his wife, Lily, for more than four decades, and together they have raised two children. He enjoys traveling with his family, exploring new places, and pursuing one of his lifelong passions, photography.
